The difference

Most plumbing complaints are about surprises, not pipes

So we built the company around removing them. You know the price, the plumber and the arrival window before anyone opens a toolbox.

One number, agreed in writing

The quote covers parts, labour and disposal. If the job turns out harder than expected, that is our problem, not your invoice.

You get a name, not a van

We text a photo and the licence number of the plumber heading over, so you know exactly who is knocking.

We leave it cleaner than we found it

Floor protection down on arrival, drop sheets under every fitting, old parts hauled away in the van.

Warranty that answers the phone

Two years on repairs, five on installations. Call the same number and we come back at no charge.

Who we are

An Etobicoke shop that grew by word of mouth

MapleFlow started in 2011 with one van, one licensed plumber and a rented bay on Vulcan Street. Fifteen years later the bay is ours, the fleet is nine vans, and roughly two-thirds of our calls still come from someone who was told about us over a fence.

We deliberately stayed a residential-first shop. That means the person quoting your job has personally crawled through the same 1950s Rexdale bungalows and the same Kingsway century homes, and knows where the surprises hide before opening a wall.

  • Every plumber holds an Ontario 306A Certificate of Qualification
  • $5,000,000 liability coverage and full WSIB clearance
  • Registered with the TSSA for gas fitting work
  • Permits pulled and inspections booked by us, not you

How a call goes

Four steps from your phone call to a dry floor

1

You call, we triage

A plumber — not a call centre — asks what you are seeing and tells you which valve to close while we dispatch.

2

We arrive and diagnose

You get a text with your plumber's name, photo and arrival window. On site we scope the problem properly, camera included where it helps.

3

You approve a flat price

Options written down, good-better-best where it makes sense, no work started until you say go.

4

We fix it and clean up

Repair completed, tested in front of you, old parts hauled away, warranty registered before we drive off.

What neighbours say

412 reviews, and the same three words keep coming up

On time. Clean. No surprises.

Main stack backed up on the Sunday of a long weekend. Two other companies quoted a holiday premium before they even asked what was wrong. MapleFlow gave me the same rate as a weekday and had it cleared in two hours.
Daniel R.Islington-City Centre
They found a slab leak under our kitchen with a thermal camera and opened one small section of floor. Our insurer's adjuster actually commented on how tidy the report was.
Priya S.The Kingsway
Backwater valve and sump pump done in a day, and they filed the city subsidy paperwork for me. I would have given up on that form halfway through.
Marcus A.Rexdale
Our restaurant grease trap failed on a Friday service. They came after close, worked through the night and we opened on time Saturday. That is the whole review.
Amara O.Vulcan Street, Etobicoke
Eighty-two years old and I have dealt with a lot of tradespeople. This is the first one that texted me a photo of who was coming. Small thing, big difference.
Gerald W.Long Branch

Questions

The eight things people ask before booking

How fast can you get to my home in Etobicoke?

For emergencies inside Etobicoke we aim to have a licensed plumber at your door within 60 to 90 minutes, day or night. Scheduled work is usually booked within 24 to 48 hours, and we call ahead before arriving so you are not waiting around all afternoon.

Do you charge for the estimate?

Estimates for planned work — fixture installs, repipes, bathroom rough-ins — are free. Emergency and diagnostic visits carry an $89 call-out fee, which comes off the bill the moment you approve the repair.

Are you licensed and insured in Ontario?

Yes. Every MapleFlow plumber holds a Certificate of Qualification for the 306A plumber trade, we carry $5 million in liability coverage, and all technicians are WSIB covered. Licence details appear on every invoice, and you are welcome to ask to see the card at the door.

What does the warranty actually cover?

Labour is warranted for two years on repairs and five years on full installations. Parts and fixtures carry the manufacturer warranty, which we register on your behalf so you are not hunting for a receipt in three years. If a repair fails inside the warranty window, the return visit costs nothing.

Do I need a backwater valve in Etobicoke?

If your home sits on a low-lying lot, or you have finished basement space you would hate to lose, a backwater valve is strong protection against sewer backup during heavy storms. The City of Toronto also runs a basement flooding protection subsidy that can cover a substantial share of the cost — we handle that paperwork as part of the job.

Can you handle plumbing permits?

Yes. For work that requires a plumbing permit — drain relocations, backwater valves, new bathroom rough-ins — we pull the permit with the City of Toronto and coordinate the inspection so you are not chasing it yourself.

How much does it cost to unclog a drain?

Most residential drain clearing in Etobicoke lands between $189 and $450 depending on which line it is and how accessible the cleanout is. We quote a flat price before starting, so the number you approve is the number you pay.

Do you offer financing?

For larger jobs such as water heater replacement, repiping and bathroom renovations we offer approved financing with terms from 12 to 60 months. Approval usually takes a few minutes on site, and there is no penalty for paying it out early.

Advice that saves you a call to us

Water droplet rippling in a basin, illustrating a slow household leak

Where your main shut-off valve is hiding

In most Etobicoke homes it is on the front wall of the basement, near the water meter. Find it today, label it, and turn it a quarter turn twice a year so it does not seize.

Rusty water, a rumbling tank, hot water that runs out sooner than it used to. Catching these means a planned swap instead of a flooded utility room.
